Meet Emily Schwartz
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over seven years of postgraduate experience. My background includes work in community mental health and private practice, where I supported individuals navigating a wide range of life challenges. These experiences strengthened my ability to meet patients with compassion, flexibility, and a deep respect for each person’s unique circumstances.
Today, I work with adults and college students navigating anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges, while also supporting patients working through depression, identity development, and women’s issues. While these are common areas of focus, I work with a broad range of concerns and tailor care to each individual’s needs.
Beyond the Practice
When I’m not working, you’ll find me:
hiking, camping, and mountain climbing while exploring the outdoors
running, biking, practicing yoga, and swimming
reading a good fiction novel
How I Can Help
My approach to therapy is collaborative, active, and engaging. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches to help patients better understand patterns, while also developing practical, effective tools they can apply in their daily lives. I value creating a space where you can be open and honest, while also working together in a focused, intentional way toward your goals.
I work especially well with patients who are motivated for change and recognize that growth often happens both inside and outside the therapy room. Many have been in therapy before and are looking for a more active or effective approach to ongoing challenges. Together, we will identify patterns, address obstacles, and focus on strategies that lead to real, sustainable progress. I believe therapy should be both supportive and results-oriented. My goal is to join you in the process of building the tools, insight, and confidence needed to create a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.
